Ambassador Lassen reiterated the European Union&#8217;s commitment to supporting democratic processes in Lebanon. &#8220;I hope the positive momentum created by the parliamentary elections will translate into renewed parliamentary activity and swift work on the reform agenda,&#8221; Ambassador Lassen said.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Lassen said that the EU is looking forward to the quick formation of a new government to consolidate the country&#8217;s stability and to achieve further economic development. &#8220;Now it is time for Lebanon to keep the momentum and make the most of the broad international support expressed at the international conferences organised this year,&#8221; she said.
